Hello Dot,
We've been running XPP on non-persistent VDI for nearly six years without any issue (we've used both VMWare View and Citrix XenDesktop on Windows 7 Pro).
The XPP client/Perl/MKS/environment variables are not "baked" into the master image, rather they are delivered as a layered application only to members of a particular group.
We're testing with XPP 9.2.2 (no MKS) with Windows 10 and haven't run into any problems.
