How do you make the Event Log available to regular Author users? Currently, in our TD13 configuration, the Event Log tab in the Tridion webclient is only available to Admin users. Also, which configuration file controls the behavior of the Event Log? The Event Log > Publish side tab is not showing the publish operations, however, they show up in the Event Log > All Events side tab.

Hi Paul,
Something that is normally handled by PS/Partner. The file you need to edit is in "\Web\Author\ASP\XSL\MainMenuBar.xml", that drives the top bar navigation.
The left-hand side navigation in Event Log is handled by "\Web\Author\ASP\XSL\EventMonitorMenuBar.xml"

Thank you, Dave. That worked! :-)
One additional question. The Event Log > Publish option is not showing any of the publish operations, even when I select Event Log > Publish > Show All.
However, when I select Event Log > All Events, I can see all the events including the publish operations.

Glad to hear... the urls triggered when clicking the left-hand-side navigation are also in "\Web\Author\ASP\XSL\EventMonitorMenuBar.xml"... if you take a deeper look you'll see that they list exact event type names (as handled by BackgroundTask), so you need to extend those. As you noticed the catch-all is All Events but that becomes edgy depending on your deplçyment size.
