Create Autosuggest dictionary

Hi, I'm looking a way to create programmately an autosuggest dictionary but I don't find any info in the Translation Memory API.

Did you find any way?

Hi, Luca,

In our context, having the possibility of creating a tool that allowed us to automatically create autosuggest dictionaries would also be a time saver!

I totally agree and there has been such a tool available since the TeamWorks days. I think if this could be opened up and we added a check for a the appropriate license then this would indeed be a very useful application as it could even be added into routines to automatically regenerate the dictionaries whenever you liked and could also allow the user to decide how many TUs was enough. The version we used in SDL TeamWorks could do this from 5 TUs if you wanted! The results were next to useless but the point is that the user had control.

That sounds good, Paul! :-) If the same or similar APIs are also available for file based TMs and not just for server-based workflows, it would be perfect (we don't have the TM server).

The tool is not based on using the public APIs. I'd like to see it released (after sanitising it for license control) but we should also expose the API here too. All something for the future. I'm just agreeing because we could do it... and because I think we should do it.

As we are about to recreate our 30 or so Autosuggest dictionaries, we are looking forward to some possibility for creating them automatically... :-)

Sorry for reviving an old thread but I think it is better than creating new one.

We only have to create Autosuggest dictionaries every now and then but when we have to create them, we have to create quite a few of them an being able to use the API would be great.

Even if it is not a public API, it would be very useful to know which API it is and give it a try (being aware that, not being public it is not supported and might be deprecated in the future).
