Hi,
Do we need to do any changes in the Studio 2015 plugins to make them compatible with 2017? Or they are forward-compatible out of the box?
thanks and regards,
Tamas

Hi Tamas,
The 2015 plugins should be compatible with Studio 2017, but you need to test the functionality.
You need copy your plugin in Studio 2017 folder, or use this plugin, chose 2017 version to install your plugin.
If everything works fine with your plugin we need to update on the AppStore, supported Studio Version for your app.
From the development point of view, you need to do more changes on the solution, but soon Romulus will publish an article with the steps you need to do in order to upgrade your solution.
Regards,
Andrea.
I still need to write and publish that article. Also we are going to have a webinar an 10th of April where I'm going to cover this topic. You can register here.
Main thing is to update you references to point to Studio 2017 folder instead of Studio 2015. Starting with Studio 2017 the plugin framework assemblies are no longer deployed with the product and you will need to add them using nuget by searching after sdl plugin framework.
