Planned for Future Release

Project "Progress" %age

Currently the project progress is the percentage of all the tasks required to complete project which have been done. However these tasks are a mixture of system tasks and human tasks and they are not equivalent. The system tasks take relatively little time and no effort. From the project managers perspective the current %age complete is hard to comprehend and relate to.

I would like to propose that the progress only counts human tasks. For our project managers that would be much more intuitive and meaningful.

Ideally the %age should only increase when the human task + subsequent system tasks has been completed. This will ensure 100% means all tasks, including those follow up system tasks are complete and the translated files are ready for download.

  • Hi ,

Development are working on improving the way in with project progress is calculated, and an update is due to be released at some point in the next couple of weeks. The percentage is will still include automatic tasks, but it should be more balanced than it is at the moment.

    Kind regards,
    Nick
