If there is only one Component Template available for a Component, auto select that template.

It only saves a click but when inserting content into a page in the CME, why not auto select the CT if it is the only one?

Indeed, that makes a lot of sense. In general, usability improvements have our attention for the upcoming release. This one is low-hanging fruit. :-)
