Like Frank, I also have a field for Topic Type within the Advanced Search options of Publication Manager. I believe the metadata options that appear as part of Search are determined during your initial implementation as part of the Implementation Workbook each customer completes with SDL. You can even add your custom metadata to the search options.

Hi Frank, the image isn't showing for me, but I double-checked the Advanced options and although there are many metadata options, topic content type, map content type, and library content type are not among them.

I might be missing something... but this should already be possible in the version that you have. I added a screenshot of the Browse repository dialog and selected the Search tab. You can see an Advanced Options drop down, where you can enter additional metadata to filter the search.

I have a strong need for this, and not limited to Topic Type - Map, Library, Image, and Publication subtypes as entered into the various "LOV" lists would benefit from this, too.   We've introduced those types for different custom/specialized content types and a search on those would greatly help users.
