Hi Frank,

SDL Managed Translation has a separate messaging capability and will send emails regardless of the underlying SDL TMS implementation that is being used. We would recommend allowing SDL Managed Translation to be responsible for communication and disabling the emails from SDL TMS in this case. Is this something that would satisfy your needs?

Thanks,

David

TMS notification email templates should have a variable link pointing to either TMS or to LC Mantra

TMS notification email templates should have a variable link pointing to either TMS or to LC Mantra, depending on which interface the job creator used to create the job.

Alternatively, the link in the email template could be made dependent on whether LC is enabled for a config or it might be made configurable in the user profile.

  • One additional thing is that there is often a need for Language Cloud notifications to be sent to someone else than the job creator, for instance the manager of the job creator.
This does not seem possible right now?

  • Hi David, actually we seen cases where clients would like to be notified about steps that are not directly related to Language Cloud, like an early warning that something is heading their way, and in this case notifications from SDL Managed Translation, although the preferable solution, are not sufficient.
