Hi Namrata,

Thanks for raising this idea to help improve SDL TMS. Unfortunately, at this time, we are not considering this request as it would potentially lead to problems with the workflow. Moving the job to complete automatically would prevent users from:

Downloading the job again if the original download was lost of corrupted
Sending the job back to the reviewer / translator if problems are found

There are customizations available for SDL TMS that will automatically move the job to the completed state after a user-defined period of time. Perhaps this is a better solution for you.

Can existing TMS jobs be automatically moved to completion when the files are downloaded?

Why do the users have to manually click “complete”? Can we not include it as part of the “download” button?

If you raise this with your SDL account manager or via a support case then more information can be found on this.

If you have information about the conditions under which you would like to move files on then we can better advise you of the options - for example - do you want to move everything on that's been there for 5 days or only files for a particular organisation etc.

The more detail the better when raising these requests.
