We have an initiative across all the SDL language technology products to converge on a single set of languages and codes. SDL TMS is included in this initiative so we will be delivering updated language codes in SDL TMS in a future version.

Ensure TMS TMX language codes are compliant with ISO 639-1 language code and ISO 3166-1 locale code when downloading a TM

Issue: When you download a TM from TMS, the language codes and locales are unique and manual work needs to be done to replace any non-ISO compliant language codes that may be used in other systems.

Suggestions:

- Update the language codes in TMS to be compliant with ISO 639-1 language code and ISO 3166-1 locale code

or

- Create a mapping or script that will run before a TM is downloaded that replaces the instances of the TMS language code with ISO 639-1 compliant language code and ISO 3166-1 compliant locale code
