Note that something like this would also be super helpful for File Types as well. When we need to remove old deprecated file filters and replace them with a new one that has the same file extensions. This is currently a very painful process.

Hi, David.  Disabling a language pair for new jobs would work as long as that disabling was done at the configuration level.

In other words, if I want to remove German from a configuration, that doesn't mean I want to remove it from all configurations.  I think it would need to be config by config.

I fully agree that currently is is very painful to remove things like language pairs or file types while things are still active. This feature would be very useful even if only to disable any future jobs from using it while active jobs are completed.

This would be useful, even if it could just be disabled for selection until all jobs were complete. Then you could completely remove it.
