Support of GroupShare connected to SQL Server on Linux

Hello,

Microsoft announced SQL Server on Linux in 2016 (https://blogs.microsoft.com/blog/2016/03/07/announcing-sql-server-on-linux/) and SQL Server 2017 is now available.

It would be great that future GroupShare versions using a SQL Server database on Linux can be supported.

Thanks for your attention.

  • Hi Mr. Adrian Boloveschi,

I'm sorry for my late response. I haven't tested GroupShare 2017 with SQL Server on Linux yet. I think I will try this configuration this summer.

But it would be only in development environment. If SDL doesn't support Groupshare with SQL Server on Linux, I won't be allowed to deploy this configuration in test ant production environment.

More and more companies use Linux as operating systems for production environment. It could be a great idea to support Debian for databases.
