Automated archive for completed translation jobs / Filter for translation jobs

Actual it is necessary to manual delete your completed translation jobs, otherwise your TO jobs overview window will be cluttered. Especially since over 20 Publication Planners start translations in our company.

Please integrate an archive within the TO, where the completed jobs are automatically filed after a certain time. Preferably an individually adjustable time.

This idea was also very positively received by one of its developers, Mr. Ymte Westra.

Additional it would be good if we can filter the translation jobs within the overview, as well as the desired and mentioned archive. A filter that simplifies the overview by status, type of workflow (translation, correction, etc.), creator, date, etc. The actual available search "function" is not nearly sufficient.

  • Organize Space is the upcoming next generation of the web client. A first version is planned for Tridion Docs 15 end of this year.

I don't know yet how translation jobs will be visualised and what filter options will be offered for them. But what I've seen from our developers regarding the navigation of content (folders) in general is very promising from a usability perspective.

  • You mentioned Organize Space. Unfortunately we are not aware of this topic. Can you please provide us with more infos what Organize Space is and when it will come? Thanks

Regarding on the Translation Organizer we must say that this tool is on its overview page as also within the properties of each job an disapointing tool, respectively its handling and ergonomics. It is by far not the state of art 2022.

So to get impovements in this topic is defenitve mandatory for us, because the actual state does not match our requirements and those of our authors. If there will come an improved succesor (Organize Space) of TO we will look forward to that, but if not, we think an optimization for filtering and handling of the TO is indispensable.

  • The event log on the settings tab already shows the requested behaviour (but is accessible for administrators only) - so maybe the chances are not too bad that this (or something similar) makes it into the upcoming Organize Space...
