Template selection should be possible with an double-click

Unfortunately it is not possible to select an template within TD14 CMS via doubleclick. Beside this shortcoming, it is nevertheless possible to double-click select the template via the authoring bridge. We do not understand why the programs approach and handle this issue differently.

Please standardize TD14 CMS analogous to the authoring bridge that it will be possible to double-click the template.

  • Hi, Endan.
Yes, you are right, I've also checked what are you telling about by myself.
Doubleclick doesn't work in Content Manager (Web client), you should first select template, then press "next" to see further properties of future object.
Template's "Doubleclick" object creation feature is not provided by us.

But I agree, it can be rather comfortable for quick and multiple objects creation, when you have lots of work to do.
So you can leave this idea about product's improvement here:
    https://community.sdl.com/ideas/tridion-ideas/i/tridion-docs-ideas

It could be developed in future product releases.
Is there anything I can help you more about this question?

    Regards,
    Yevhen

  • When creating a new Publication, I can successfully double click on the icon from the template with Tridion Docs 14.0.3. It works from Publication > New... and also within the Browse Repository... dialog in Publication Manager and the Authoring Bridge. Please log a Support ticket to see about a resolution.
