In Tridion Docs 14 SP3, in the Properties window in the Web Client, all fields that have date values now use a lightweight HTML date picker instead of JQuery.

Unfortunately, the HTML date picker does not contain an option to add the button labelled Now or Today, which would auto-fill today's date when selected. 

Knowledge Center 2016 contained a Today button in all date selectors, which was convenient and reduced user error.

There is a Today button in the date picker for the Search page in the Web Client.

It would be helpful if a Today button could be added to date picker functionality in the Web Client properties.
