SDL XPP 9.4 Released!

SDL XPP 9.4 Released!

Key themes for this version release are: IT-Friendly and Increased Productivity.
The Release Notes contain information on all of the new features and feature enhancements available in this version release.
Here are some highlights:

  • XPP is native 64-bit with this version release
  • Several new capabilities and feature enhancements for styling Borders, Boxes, Underlines and Edit Traces
  • XyPerl Enhancements, including the ability for customers to create Perl modules for common functionality as library functions which can be shared amongst document styles
  • Improved the Sdedit user experience allowing customizable visualization cues
  • Users can now input Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters in the XyView and Sdedit window using an external Input Method Editor (IME) and a standard keyboard on MS Windows and RH Linux platforms

Any maintenance customer currently using XPP 9.x is entitled to this XPP 9.4 version release and we encourage you to upgrade to this latest version release at your earliest convenience. To initiate the ordering and delivery of this version release, please open a support ticket through the SDL Customer Support Web Portal.

Effective with this release, the current release status is:

  • Active:  SDL XPP 9.4
  • Mature: SDL XPP 9.3
  • Retired: SDL XPP 9.2 and previous

Customers running on retired releases should consider upgrading soon as although we may still be able to provide technical support, we are not able to provide Hot Fixes for a retired version release.
