Product Release: New SDL Connector for AEM 6.5 - February 2020

Dear Community,

We released a brand new connector solution for AEM 6.5. The previous SDL solutions (AEM 6.1-6.5) contine to be maintained and supported, and any updates will be provided under a seperate post.

This new release brings an entirely new user experience inside AEM, with many front-end and back-end features to support translation project creation and management.

Version AEM 6.5 - 1.2.0

Key features with this release are:

    • Multilingual job creation in SDL

  • New project synchronization
    • Detailed information of project status
    • Improved error prevention/handling to end user and admin

  • New connector runs in parallel to old connector
    • no translation freeze required
    • Future updates install easily without complex uninstall processes
  • Configurable options:
    • Pre-fill Project name from page properties
    • Pre-fill cloud config from page properties
    • Pre-fill target languages from cloud config
    • Pre-fill target languages from previous selection

Note: the new solution supports SDL Managed Translation/TMS only and does not support SDL WorldServer.
