We are pleased to announce the general availability of SDL TMS 11.4. This is the next major update on the SDL TMS 11.x branch and delivers some important updates, new features and defect fixes. See below for some highlights.

Vendors
SDL TMS 11.4 brings some enhancements to the way that SDL TMS supports vendors. With this release, vendor users can be added to groups to create “vendor groups”. These groups can then be assigned to workflow steps and any one of the users in the group can take ownership of the task and complete the work.

Another benefit of providing support for vendor groups is that it is now possible to configure the permissions for vendor users in the same way as it can be done for any other group of users in SDL TMS. Previously, the permission template associated with a vendor was not editable in the SDL TMS users interface.

Attributes
Attributes in SDL TMS provide users with flexible options to extend the information that can be stored against various objects. With the release of SDL TMS 11.4, it is now possible to configure and record attributes against the following object types:

• Cost Models
• Workflows

User experience
As part of our continued commitment to improving the user experience, this release provides an often-requested feature to make it easier to work with SDL TMS. With SDL TMS 11.4, users now have the option to manage the notification emails that they get. A new field on the User Preferences tab called Email subscription allows users to specify whether they want to receive all emails, only exception and recovery emails or no emails at all.

SDL TMS REST API
SDL TMS 11.4 continues to build on the API that is available to third party developers and applications. The changes in this release will allow SDL TMS to be orchestrated as part of a wider enterprise application infrastructure.
