SDL TMS 12.3 | Cumulative Update 4

We are pleased to announce the availability of this cumulative update that contains all fixes from previous releases and the following additional fixes:

CRQ-4386
Symptoms:
SDL Nexus does not clean up the root folder after the URL specified in the settings file.

Explanation:
The application was appending an extra character in the path preventing the cleanup from working.

Resolution:
The path is now cleaned correctly. Please use the Nexus installer from the FTP site specified at the bottom of this post.

CRQ-14368
Symptoms:
Custom Job Download Report will not download.

Explanation:
The stored procedure used to fetch the report information was taking too long and timing out.

Resolution:
The stored procedure has been enhanced to perform faster which allows the report to be downloaded.

CRQ-14737
Symptoms:
Nexus is failing for fresh installations of SDL TMS.

Explanation:
The application was relying on a registry entry that is not present for fresh installations.

Resolution:
The dependency on the registry key has been removed. Please use the Nexus installer from the FTP site specified at the bottom of this post.

CRQ-14891
Symptoms:
The Archiver is failing to find a plug-in for a request.

Explanation:
The Archiver service was not correctly recovering from any database connectivity issues which caused it to go into an error state.

Resolution:
The Archiver service now recovers from database connectivity issues.

CRQ-14925
Symptoms:
Nexus path separator value is causing the path to fail.

Explanation:
SDL Nexus was not correctly using the path separator specified in the setting file which was causing problems with file access.

Resolution:
SDL Nexus now correctly uses the specified separator from the settings file. Please use the Nexus installer from the FTP site specified at the bottom of this post.

CRQ-14998
Symptoms:
Clicking Submit and clicking Create Job can produce different results when creating a new job.

Explanation:
The two code paths were not both executing the same code which meant that attributes could potentially be corrupted on the job.

Resolution:
Submit and Create Job now execute the same code path to correctly create the job.

CRQ-15063
Symptoms:
The TMCollectorTimedExecutor plug-in is failing to connect to TMs.

Explanation:
The plug-in was not using the specified TM connection string but was rather re-creating the connection string which could cause connectivity issues.

Resolution:
The plug-in now uses the connection string specified against the TM.

CRQ-15088
Symptoms:
The Review tab is missing from SDL Online Editor when a tasks reaches the "Review in SDL Language Cloud" step.

Explanation:
SDL Online Editor was not being initialized in Review mode which caused the tab to be missing.

Resolution:
SDL Online Editor is now correctly initialized.

CRQ-15241
Symptoms:
An API request to download a target file takes too long and causes the system to go slowly.

Explanation:
The API was incorrectly trying to synchronize the file from SDL Language Cloud.

Resolution:
Only tasks that are published to SDL Language Cloud are now synchronized.

CRQ-15423
Symptoms:
Modify Job Specs is failing to process new files or new languages.

Explanation:
Although this is a customization, it is reliant on a core SDL TMS stored procedure which had introduced an error.

Resolution:
The stored procedure is corrected and Modify Job Specs is working again as expected.

SDL-hosted customers should contact SDL Support to arrange for this update to be deployed.

Customers who host SDL TMS themselves should download the installer for SDLTMS 12.3.27270.4 - Cumulative Update 4 for SDL TMS.exe from the following FTP site: ftp://ftp-emea.sdlproducts.com/SDL TMS/12.3/CU/
