When filtering a certain asset in WorldServer 10.4.4 using the Microsoft Word 2007-2016 Studio File Type, opening the Task in Browser Workbench, saving it and opening it in again Microsoft Word results in the following error message: "The file filename.docx cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents".


You can fix the issue by deploying the update to WorldServer 10.4.4, available on FTP.

  • Log on to your "My SDL" account
  • Log a support request via Support & Education Support.  


  • All systems running WorldServer 10.4.4 and using .DOCX assets should have this hotfix applied.
