Email timeout

Hi Eugene,

I just recently upgraded to Trados 2021, so it maybe updated some package used by Business Manager, but now when I try to email invoices, the software times out. It says "Errors during sending: Operation has timed out." I'm at my brother's house for the holidays, so it could be related to changing Internet connections? However, I have a 200MBPS connection, so it shouldn't be.

If all else fails, I can send them via my email client, but I like sending the invoices through Business Manager.

    Well, your version does not depend on Studio version. Indeed, in recent updates we've been working on e-mail sending mechanism, as for other users there was opposite situation - application could wait too long while e-mail is sending because of unresponsive email server. So, now wait time was set to 10 seconds. But since you have better connection, I doubt that 10 secs is not enough to send an invoice.. So, can you please tell: 1. It happens faster than 10 secs? 2. If you try again (maybe few times), message will be sent or you get same error all the time?

    It's been a month since I last tried to send invoices, so there could be more variables to consider. To answer your initial questions:

    1. No, it waits 10 seconds before giving me the message.

    2. The same error happens no matter how many times I try.

    It's not urgent, because I've already sent the invoices manually.

    I re-entered my mail server credentials, and the e-mail went through. It must have been a problem on my end. Sorry!
