Problem with Glossary Converter

Question

Hi everyone. I have a problem with Glossary Converter. I have Trados Studio 2017, and Glossary Converter tells me it can't detect Multiterm. I have seen that this problem has already been addressed, but from what I understood, at the time, there was no solution. Has it been solved now? Thanks

Can you please confirm that you installed in your PC Multiterm Desktop 2017? 
 
And also, please make sure that you have the last version of Glossary Converter installed.

I had version 4.3 of Glossary Converter, after installing version 4.10 the problem was solved. Thank you very much for your prompt help.

 Can you please confirm you uninstall the Glossary Converter that you have now and download the latest version from the App Store?

 Then when you open the app, please make sure that in settings for output you have selected: 
 
 In order to change the "output", please click on Settings:

Can you please make sure you have Multiterm Desktop 2017 installed on your PC and updated. If you have it, please make a repair of it by following the below steps: 
 Run a repair installation 
 
 Close all SDL applications. 
 Open the Control Panel :
 
 Windows Vista/7 : Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features . 
 Windows 8 : Right-click on the screen at bottom-left corner and choose Control Panel > Uninstall a Program . 
 Windows 10 : Right-click on Start > Control Panel > Select View by: Small Icons > Programs and Features .

Right-Click/highlight the relevant SDL product from the list (e.g. SDL Multiterm Desktop 2017 ) and click Repair . 
 Restart Multiterm.

 It might be helpful if you could tell us the exact versions of Studio/MultiTerm that you are using 
 
 and exactly what you see, when you open GC (screenshots are always helpful) using the insert option below. 
 This is an issue that we (and the developer) have not been able to reproduce successfully. 
 So the more information you can provide the better- including Operating System, PC or virtual platform on MAC etc.

 The developer of this plugin put a lot of effort into trying to find out why this affected some users and not others, and whilst the fix he provided in the help resolved the problem for some users, it didn't work for all users. Presumably you have tried this already? 
 
 In the meantime, there will be an update soon and this new version might fare better and be less susceptible to the problems caused by Excel and MultiTerm. You can test this Beta from here:

 The localization isn't complete yet but I believe the features are all there.
