I am using SDL Trodos Studio 2019sR1, Normally I work with 2 monitors and somehow my Studio 2019 always opens on my external monitor, instead of my notebook's monitor. I tried to drag it to my notebook's monitor before closing it, but the next time when I started it, it still opened on my external monitor. It never happened when I using Studio 2014. Is there any way to solve this?
Also, Studio 2019 will sometimes close unexpectedly, which rarely happened when using Studio 2014, I am now starting wondering why I upgrade this tool for......
Hello emma Kuo
As far as I know programs open on your main display by default. Could you please check whether your notebook's screen is your main display? If you're using Windows, right-click on the Desktop and select Display settings. And once you set your notebook's screen to be the main display Studio should open on it.
As for the unexpected behavior, please make sure to keep your operating system and device drivers up to date: https://community.sdl.com/product-groups/translationproductivity/w/customer-experience/3392/how-to-part-1-trouble-shoot-unexplained-errors-and-unwanted-behaviour-in-studio-multitermAnd also add Studio (and MultiTerm) to the white list of your antivirus software (information on how to do it should be available online), so it does not interfere with these programs - as quite often this is the root cause of such issues.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply. I checked and my notebook's screen was set as main display... not sure what went wrong.
