When using MultiTerm 2007(on Windows 8.1), I can't add (input) any new word because a "script error" message appears immediately after I click the "add in Entry'.
It says as follows (original message is written in Japanese):
(note) Until last evening (Jun. 14), I have used this MultiTerm 2007 (on Windows 8.1) without any problem.
I tried, "rebooting", "uninstall and then reinstall of MultiTerm 2007" , "restore of system" , but no avail.
[ ! ] Error has occurred in the script in this script.
error: Undefined or null-reference property 'is Active' cannot be obtained.
continue the script in this page?
Last time (about 7 months ago) when I had the same problem, the problem was solved completely by cleaning up Java and installing Java 7 up. 71; however, this time, even though
Java 7 up. 71 was correctly installed, the following message appears, which makes it impossible to enter new word in the Multiterm.
Error message: Application has been blocked.
Application blocked by security setting (i)
Due to security setting used, execution of application by non-brand-new or term-expired Java has been blocked.
Please help me!

Not for 2007, it's far too old. Your best bet would be to upgrade if you want to avoid these sort of problems.
Hello Yuji Hashikawa,
This is most likely due to the incompatibilities between MultiTerm 2007 and Windows 8 (8.1) and the new security guidelines in Java.
SDL dropped its dependencies on Java with the Studio 2014 release.
Perhaps it would be worth considering upgrading to Studio/Multiterm 2019?
Hellow Steven Whale-san
Sorry, but your answer does not help me much . I know well what you say. I'm trying yo solve it.
I think the suggestion to upgrade is the way to solve it. The 2007 versions are over a decade old and have not been supported for a very long time. You might get lucky and find someone in here who has managed to make this all work in W8.1 but I think it's more likely you won't.
2007 was out of support at the end of 2013 which I believe was the same year W8.1 was introduced. Did this ever work for you or have you just tried this in W8.1 for the first time?
Thanks, Paul-san and Whale-san. I could recover entry-addition function by applying “ Jave Cleanup program (Java 7. ud71)”; however, this time, I have another problem with Trados Workbench. In “term recognition”, I can’t get “MT ver. 7” (MT ver.5 appears and no term base is available”. Problem after problem. Please give me your advice.
I don’t want change my PC environment, because it will take enormously wasteful time for a PC layman like me. Isn’t there any service from SDL or other facility to provide
an already-installed [PC (Win. 10)+compatible SDL App] package which does not rob a translator of precious time. If such is the case, I will buy it.
