Unable to locate Hardware.sdltb file

Currently learning how to use Multiterm using the 2015 SDL Multiterm Training Course Manual I received from my lecturer. Page 3-2 says I need to find a file titled Hardware.sdltb in the Sample Files folder, but I am unable to locate any document with that name. There are no other samples in that folder with any other names either. I've found other sample files in other folders with different names but they simply won't open. When I try bring them up using "Open Termbase", Multiterm closes entirely.

Just trying to learn about all the Multiterm features included in the manual so would be very beneficial if I could follow along using the sample termbase used in the instructions.

Many thanks!

  • Hello  ,

Further to Michaels reply, Studio 2015 is now quite old and i suspect the reference to 'Hardware.sdltb' is possibly a typo.

If i check the 2015 folder- then you should see 'Printer.sdltb' as follows

    As for MultiTerm closing,

I suspect that your Studio and or MultiTerm versions are not on the latest stand.

In each application- go to HELP and Check for Updates.- Restarting your PC after each one.

Now when you reopen the project, are you able to work?

  • Hello,

Many thanks for your help! I must have not selected the 'download sample' option as I can't see the termbases as they show up on your screenshot.

Forgot to mention but I actually have the 2019 version and just been working off the 2015 manual as its the one provided by my university and have been unable to find the 2019 one.

I can open other termbases just fine, its the sample ones included in the SDL folders which close the program when I try open them but I'll try what you suggested above.
