After having run the task "Cleanup Source" all source tags are still there. What have I done wrong probably?
I guess quite hard to answer without a little more information:
1. Where do I see this information?
2. 2019 (126.96.36.199109)
3. Tags: group name, shape name
4. see printscreen

It's in the appstore where you downloaded the app from, and it's also visible through the plugin manager which is in the navigation menu in Studio.

Might be worth updating.

Can you provide a sample file with just a small amount of content to illustrate this point?
Then it must be Version 1.9.5.
I have sent the sample file by mail.
Hi Paul, Have you been able to find out anything here? Ulrike
Hi Ulrike Michiels
Reading the help it says this:
Currently, I do not permit removing other types of tags other than the above. Let me know though if you have a use case for removing other types of tags.
The above refers to br tags. So all other placeholder tags cannot be removed. This is most likely because anything else is relevant to the format of the overall document and not harmless when removed.
Why do you want them to be removed?
Hi Paul, I want them to be removed, because they are not relevant for the target, because I don't want them to be in the TM, and because they disturb the legibility of the source text. Any Chance?
It does seem to defeat the object of a TM somewhat... might be easier to export your TM to TMX every now and again, then import a cleaned up version so you have TUs with tags and without and then at least you will always get some leverage.
It might also affect the saving of the target file until you put them back and we'd need to test that. But we can look at this at some point, no real priority though I'm afraid so I can't tell you when.
Keep in mind that this is opensource so you could employ a developer and do it next week if you really need it.
Hi Paul, Thanks fo your reply. The point is that translators want to translate and not having to deal with technical things like tags. I have heard very often that they find the tags very bothering. So I thought that this CleanUp tool would be a super thing...
