I am trying to split an Xliff using the SDL XLIFF Split&Merge App, but am getting error messages both in 2015 and in 2019.
The 2015 Error reads: ERROR: Method not found: 'Void Sdl.LanguagePlatform.Core.Wordlist.Load(System.IO.Stream)
The 2019 Error reads: Studio location could not be found. Please ensure Trados Studio is installed in order to split files!
For both Studio 2015 and 2019 I use the App, however I have tried running the Split&Merge App as a plugin integrated into Studio 2019 but I get the same error.

I haven't used this app for a while so I just installed the latest version for 2019 (126.96.36.199) and ran a quick test. It worked successfully for me, but then I only tested one way of splitting the file into three equal parts and then merging them back together again. It's interesting you have the same error in two versions of Studio so this could point to the file you are working with
But I have a few questions:
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately I cannot share the file as it is confidential, but I have tried the split using other Xliff files (short, non-complicated structured files) and have gotten the same errors.
In answer to your other questions:
1. If you mean what setting I use while using the Split part of the Split&Merge App, I select the Xliff to be split, the target folder and then choose to split the file after a certain segment number. Let me know if you´re missing some info!
2. The error occurs when I click Finish at the end. The curious thing is that if the split works a folder is created containing the split Xliffs. When I try, the split fails but the folder is still created but it contains only 1 Xliff (name beginning "001_") and a .splitinfo file that when opened contains no text.
Can you pseudotranslate the file you are trying to split so the text is completely anonymized? Then give me a screenshot with the exact settings you are trying to use? I think if I keep making up files, trying to get a bug and failing, it won't help either of us.

Unfortunately I cannot send you even the pseudotranslated file due to the contract that I have with this client. Any information about the file or the client would need to be erased from any screenshot that I could send you of the settings. Sorry that I can´t be of more help!
But just a reminder that I have tried this with various other files and the problem persists, so I´m not sure that the issue is the file...
I have now tried all different ways to split files from following your instructions to the letter and trying all the other options in different ways. I can't reproduce the problem.
So, I have now engaged a developer to see whether the messages you get point to anything that might help us resolve this. Do you get a proper error message with this that contains the full error stack? So do you see something like this?
If you do can you click on that little disk symbol and save the file to your desktop. Then attach the file to your response.
No, I don´t get the same type of error window that you get.

We have just loaded a new version of the plugin for Studio 2019 (plugin and standalone) to the appstore. Please can you try with this and let me know if it resolves your issue?
I´m glad to tell you that the split and the merge in Studio 2019 both work now after downloading the updated plugin and standalone.
