Hi, I have installed the following plugin (Supertext.Sdl.Trados.FileType.YamlFile.sdlplugin) and have marked up a YAML file, pseudo translated the file and generated the target file. However, when I was comparing the source file to the target file, I noticed that line breaks were getting removed and multiple lines were getting wrapped on the one line.
How do I prevent this from happening. Please see sample YAML file that i am using
Hugh Mc Dowell
I can reproduce this but don't know how to prevent the behaviour. In my editor the lines are not merged, but the breaks are definitely missing and blank lines that had only this character on their own are now missing.
You probably need to involve Remy Blaettler or a developer from the team who kindly provided this filetype on the appstore.
Thanks Paul, do you have a direct e-mail for Remy
Why not use the contact feature in the community, or the contact details in the appstore:
We don't give out personal email addresses.
I've quickly tried out your file. Not sure if I'm missing something, but it looks fine to me.
Are you using the latest version of our plugin? Version 188.8.131.52
Pseudo translated the "description" tag:
Or could you point out where the lines are missing?
Try showing the line breaks in your editorandthen you'll see. The source is this:
The target is this:
Note that the line breaks are missing.
Just to let you know, it is the description object text that is just for translation. The path rule filter i am using is "^.+?\.description"
As i stated in my original post, when i pseudo translate and generate the target file, Line breaks get removed and lines get wrapped.
Ok, we have a developer looking into this. Hopefully he can figure this out this week. And Paul: We'll do the updates for all filetypes too within the same push.
Thanks Remy Blaettler
Hi, has the plugin been updated with the fix.
