I'm trying to get started with the Studio Subtitling app. I've installed it but when I try to import my first video (MP4) and start testing it, I get a pop-up-message that says the file format is not supported. When I go to Options> File types and click on the link called "Additional Installed File types exist", It does not suggest any of the following filetypes WebVTT, STL -Spruce and SBV- Youtube or MP4.
Any suggestions on what to do?
I thik you need to learn a little more about how this works first. I recommend you review this wiki:
The video files themselves are not translatable. They are used for a preview so you must have the subtitle file AND the video. There are more formats for the subtitle files available on the appstore, so if you use this link you'll see everything:
The latest version of Studio added native support for SRT, webVTT, SUB and SBV. So if you have the latest version of Studio 2019 CU5 installed the only additional filetypes you might need from the appstore are STL, ASS and SSA.
So review those resources and then if you have any questions come back and we can help.
Thank you for the quick answer. Great, I will read through the wiki and try to learn more first. :)
