I am trying to translate a word document in Trados 2019 but when I upload it I get a message saying: Field has unsupported nesting with another word feature. What does it mean and how can I fix it? I appreciate your help.
Perhaps see if there is a problem with something in the word file? Divide and conquer until you find it:
Do that until the file you are opening is small (a single page for example... or even a single sentence if you keep going) and allows you to do one of these things:
Thank you Paul I will try that and see what happens!
Actually, I converted the file to .rtf format and uploaded it in Studio and it worked.

That's good... but it means you may have removed the problematic 'feature' altogether, and possibly other things as well, so your client may not be happy with that. RTF won't support everything that's in Word. I think it would be worth attempting to find the problem.
If you can share the problematic file with me I'd be happy to take a look? You can send it to email@example.com if that's ok?
I just sent it to you. Thank you very much for your help!
It doesn't seem to have reached me... perhaps you can send it again? I'm travelling today so will be out most of the day but will take a look once I get settled.
Thanks for sending me your file. I tried it in Studio and it opened as a docx and I could save the target. I sent you the sdlxliff which you should test by opening it in Studio and then see if you can save the target from it..
I'm wondering if you have a problem with your project templates, or maybe you need to update Studio? Let's start with the update... please make sure you have these versions installed:
SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR2 - 188.8.131.525
SDL MultiTerm 2019 - 184.108.40.206289
