I just baught a DeepL Pro subscription and downloaded the plugin for Trados Studio 2017. I had a subscription a while back and made sure to uninstall the old version of the plugin first to avoid conflicts. Upon opening Studio 2017, it never asked me for the authentication key. When I try to translate a document now, I get the charming message "Forbidden". Can anybody help please? Thank you! Best wishes and stay healthy,Dani
This is almost certainly because you have not entered the correct API key. Please go to your project settings and make sure you have done this.
Another possibility is that you are sharing the API key with another person which is not allowed if you only have a single user licence.
Thank you for your prompt response. Like I said, it never asked me for the API key. Where do I enter that? Not sharing, I only just bought it. THanks again
when you go into the project settings for the DeepL provider in Studio there is a box for adding your API key.
Thanks Paul, that seems to have solved it. I´m sure there is also a setting to have the suggested translations directly/automatically inserted in the target translation segment, I just can´t find it...
It should be the default:
Or you can also pre-translate with a batch task:
You´re a legend, thanks heaps Paul! :-) Have a great weekend, Dani
