I have recently upgraded my Studio licence to the 2021 version, and I have also downloaded and installed the new version of SDL Freshstart, with support for Studio 2021.
However, after a successful installation, the app does not open, and there is no error message. It simply does not open.
I have tried several times to download and install it again, but the problem persists.
I do not even know who to turn to for support...
Can someone help?

If they manage to solve the issue, I will be happy to post the solution here and help others.
Just a quick question because as I read through this I'm not sure that you and Steve are talking about the same thing at all. You seem to be referring to the Freshstart App and Steve seems to be referring to Studio.
So I'm just making sure we understand what your problem really is because the support team probably won't help with the Freshstart App. For help with that you are in the right place.
Please confirm and then we can try and help with the appropriate problem.
I am actually talking about the Freshstart App, which presents the issue I described in my previous posts.
I also forgot to mention that I tried to run the app in the compatibility version for both Windows 8 and 7, just to make sure it is not a problem due to my OP.
However, nothing changed...
ok. So lets start from the beginning. First of all go to your windows control panel and uninstall all versions of "SDL Freshstart" that you can find under "Uninstall or change a program".
Once you have removed all traces of this application that may be there download and install the new version for 2021. Once installed it should look like this:
You should also have an icon on your desktop. So please run the application by double clicking the icon and see whether you still have the same issue.

I had already tried applying this procedure, but I have tried again to be sure.
Unfortunately, it does not yield any positive results.
When I download and install the application again, I still have the same problem...
It may be related to permissions because this app needs admin rights to be able to work on the folders/files it supports. Please try running this as admin. Do do this press your Windows key and type "freshstart" into the search. When it comes up right-click and select "Run as administrator":

I tried this one as well, even though I am working on my Admin account.
Can you confirm if you have also installed MultiTerm? I don't know for sure if this will make a difference (and you should have had some sort of exception error if it was) but it's worth testing/checking in case we have some dependency in the code.
I'll also check with a developer but perhaps you can confirm/test?
Can you also check that your security software is not blocking this by white listing this application? You might have to reinstall after doing that in case the original installation was blocked in some way.
I have installed MultiTerm as well.
As for my security software, I checked, and it was not blocking the application.
However, just to be on the safe side, I whitelisted the application, and reinstalled it.
Again, nothing changed...
