SDL Trados GroupShare 2017 SR1 - Cumulative Update 9 (CU09) is out!

Hi all,

We are very happy to announce the availability of the Cumulative Update 9 (CU09) for SDL Trados GroupShare 2017 Service Release 1.

Hightlights in this update:

  • New performance improvement feature – Support for a new improved analysis and (pre)translation option when using server-based TMs in SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR1: The SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR1 now enables you to use a performance optimized task called GroupShare Analyze and Translate to perform a performance improved, server-side analysis and pre-translation of your project files.
You can apply the new batch task and task sequence to projects that use server-based TMs AND are published to SDL Trados GroupShare.
In support of this feature, a new service named SDL Translate And Analysis Service on the SDL Trados GroupShare application server will become available after updating to CU09.
  • New functionality – New format for Due Date field: When SDL Trados GroupShare users are assigned files to work on, they automatically receive a notification email with Due Date information for project files.
To avoid any confusion related to the relevant time zone, the notification mails sent by SDL Trados GroupShare now contain due dates for the project or project phases in the following format:
Wednesday, 21 November, 2018, 07:15 AM, UTC +01:00
  • New functionality – New project deletion mechanism: SDL Trados GroupShare users who have the “Cancel Check Out of Other Users Project Files” permission can now delete a project even if the project has files checked out for editing in SDL Trados GroupShare or SDL Trados Studio.
  • New functionality – Online Editor: It is now possible to show or hide the ribbon in the Online Editor.
  • New functionality – Online Editor: The following new filters have been added to the Online Editor:
    • Segments with comments
    • Segments with TQA
    • Locked/unlocked segments
