Exception to abbreviation

In Icelandic the currency is abbreviated to kr. I added it to the abbreviations list to stop unwanted segmentation. But it can occur at the end of a sentence which stops segmentation where a new segment should begin. How and where can I make an exception to the abbreviation such as 'IF next word starts with capital letter do not segment'?

Hi Nora, Many thanks for replying.The problem is when an abbreviation in the list comes at the end of a sentence. I need an exception to the abbreviation list - preferably generic because many abbreviations can properly come at the end of a sentence.

In this case klst. is at the end of a sentence but does not segment because it is in the list.
