What's New in SDL
Detecting language please wait for.......
I don't want Studio 2019 to mimic the source document as regards font faces and sizes, I want my own settings. But the setting for the source language is not accepted. Studio 2019 was closed and started again after making this setting, so it should work, but it does not.
Please don't tell me to kill the folder numbered 220.127.116.11. If my car has a minor problem, I don't have to take out the timing chain and put it back again, right? ;-)
I tried everything from your list short of resetting Studio and I refuse to do that unless there is no other way. Though it is not ideal, I can live with different fonts on each side.
That is really strange. Would you please post a screen shot of your settings in font adaptation?
And to take your car analogy: you just need to remove the ignition key, close the car, disconnect the battery, then connect it again after a short period of time and start the car again. No need to disassemble your engine.
Killing the 18.104.22.168 folder means painstakingly re-entering all my settings, and I want to avoid it at all cost. Even if the cost means looking at lop-sided fonts in the translation grid.
Here's my screenshot. Nothing fancy about my settings. I like the font size large, because my sight isn't what it used to be.
And elsewhere I set the display to show all tags and no formatting.
The funny thing is that when I opened an sdlxliff file sent by a client without a project, my choice of source font face for US English was reflected. It is not reflected in projects.
I do not adapt the font style for any language, just use the default Arial.
With these settings it does work properly:
BTW, renaming/removing the setting xml files will not destroy your settings, if you write them to a profile. Similar to a car seat memory, which you can export into a profile too.
