I have a very large Excel file (DB Export) that contains multiple sheets that have different source columns (e.g. Sheet 1/Source column C; sheet 2/source column E; sheet 3/source column F).
I already tried Excelling Studio for this, but I can only define one source column and not different source columns for the different sheets.
Does anybody know about a solution for this?
Michaela Moosbrugger If you just have one file, or maybe only a few, then I think your best solution is to save the individual worksheets as separate files, and then handle them in Studio as needed. It might be more effort to try and automate the process. Once you complete the translations putting the workbook back together is simple.
Every 6 months is actually not THAT frequently... doing the hiding work manually is still acceptable ;-). If you don't wan to do it manually, just record a macro in Excel (and then possibly clean it up a bit) and use the macro next time...
Alternatively, you can try to convince the client to start using more sophisticated format... since Excel is simply the most stupid way for such kind of work.
