I'm running SDL TRados Studio 2019 on a recently purchased MacBook Air with 500 Gb of flash storage and 8 Gb of RAM. But it is slower than my previous MacBook Air from 2015 and the cooling fan seems to be running all the time. Also Trados occasionally "crashes", i.e. closes down for no reason, which it never did before with the previous MacBook Air. there any settings that I can change to improve performance?
TIA for your help
Hi Andy Tooms
Please make sure that Studio is MultiTerm is whitelisted in your antivirus software, added to the exception list - as in many cases the antivirus can interfere with these tools. Also, please see the below article on general troubleshooting: community.sdl.com/.../3392.how-to-part-1-trouble-shoot-unexplained-errors-and-unwanted-behavior-in-studiomultiterm Some of the steps are about Windows OS, but the same applies to your Windows desktop in Parallels, I assume? Hope this helps. Best wishes, Greta Greta Magyar - Customer Success Representative - SDL
