when creating projects in Trados Studio you may or may not assign a customer using a listbox to your project. Until now, I was always thinking that there could be used filters on this customer property within the project settings; this is why we fill out this field on each project. However, these days I've been looking for some application of this property and I simply can't find any.
Maybe someone else here has any clue what the customer in the project settings can be used for?
Anyone can think about a disadvantage in not filling it out?

There aren't any disadvantages to not filling this out. It's not a mandatory field.
This may change in the future depending on what you are doing... for example Business Manager Lite will be able to work with this list of customers in Studio in the next release and this will be more useful as there are reporting options available in there that make use of this.
Thank you Paul, I thought so but I couldn't believe that after years of existence, this field didn't serve for anything.
