Hello everyone,
I've recently updated my Trados 2019 to Trados 2021 (16.0.0.2838). I've noticed a bug while working with the Concordance Search box. After trying to copy the results it delivers, the text cursor appears duplicated on the Editor panel and it doesn't let me copy anymore. When I move the cursor inside the Concordance Search box, the duplicated cursor mimics the movement.
Please find attached a video for further reference.

Thank you for your help!
I have this problem as well. It keeps me from using 2021 for months now. Very disappointing.
Same problem here, although it does not happen every time. Apparently this problem has been known for more than six months now, so I wonder why there STILL is no update in which this major bug has been…
I have this problem too. And several similar ones. The product is a beta version at best. I haven't seen any real added value compared to 2019 either. What is this?
Hello Eva Vernet Leyenda ,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We have been able to reproduce this and have now logged this with our support team and will keep you updated.
On a slightly different note, but something you might find useful (if you aren't already using it)- is AutoHotKey (AHK)
https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/autohotkey-manager/893/
https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/misc-ahk-scripts-sdl-community/894/
With a simple script - for example-
#IfWinActive SDL Trados Studio^!x:: Send ^c!+{F6}^vReturn#IfWinActive
-you can copy selected text direct to the target segment using just CTRL+ALT+X
We also have a separate thread for AHK which is also very helpful-
https://community.sdl.com/product-groups/translationproductivity/f/autohotkey
I have the same problem, and in addition in the results window I cannot mark like in version 2019 with the cursor keys!
Copying a selection in the Concordance search into the translation is even easier with the function "Insert into text" that is built into Studio and can be configured as a quick insert by changing its keyboard shortcut.I have for instance configured F8 for Concordance search and F7 as Move to target segment and F6 as "Insert into document", so I simply mark the text I want to search for, press F8, then select the translation and press F7 to go back to where I searched from and then directly F6 to paste in what I selected in Concordance into the translation where the cursor is. Of course, you can change to F6 for Concordance search, F7 as Move to target segment and F8 as "Insert into document"or any other combination that you like.I just find single key shortcuts to be more convenient than key combinations with Ctrl (the Ctrl key get rather worn down after a while anyway).
Otherwise you are right, AutoHotkey is very useful.
Hello
A very similar bug – moving using arrows and copying (using both mouse and keyboard) in concordance search results instead moves cursor and copies from main editor window; I can select text with mouse but not copy it. Same version of Trados. A major bug – have to retype all text from concordance results manually. Urgent fix needed.

The AHK script does not work, obviously (tried it anyway)
Due to all of these bugs above, i switched back to 2019 because work is becoming very complicated especially when you cannot mark and copy right away with the cursors anything from the concordance search window. I will only switch back after these bugs are resolved. At this stage, Studio 2019 is the better version.
I have this problem too, but unlogically it sometimes works too copy and paste and sometimes not. Same thing with Ctrl +Shift + Arrow right to mark several words. Are you coming up with a solution soon?
In addition to this bug with twin cursor, it also disappears when Studio automatically goes to the Concordance window. I can't recover it even by clicking anywhere within the segment.

Thank you for the script. It works fine, unlike the internal Studio command ('Insert into document') that works 3 times out of 10 even if a shortcut assigned.
This is still happening in the recent update to version 16.0.2.3343.First of all, selecting text with the arrow keyas do not work, and selecting with the mouse ends up selecting the text visually, but at the same moving a visual cursor in the Edit pane, and it is the text accidentally selected in the Edit pane that is sent to the clipboard, not the text selected with the mouse in the Context pane, so copying text from a Context sears is not possible and the program is therefore not really ready for use.Back to Studio 2019 again ...
Same for me, I run the update in hopes that this problem was resolved, but not at all! So, since this is one of the most important functions, I will continue to stay with Studio 2019. What I don't understand especially, that the previous version did not have these issues, and now suddenly the new version has, why? A new version should be a progress, not a step or even more steps back. Is there no way to alert the developpers team of these issues? It looks like they are not discovering this themselves.
I've had that problem since my first installation of Studio 2021, now two months ago. However, at that time the problem took a few minutes to present itself and one or two searches could be selected and copied correctly before the ghost cursur appeared and it was no longer possible to copy what I had selected.Selecting text with the cursor keys (like Shift+Arrow keys or Ctrl+Shift+Arrow keys has never worked on the target side of the Context search pane, though selecting with the keys works perfectly on the source side of the Context search pane.
Same problem here, after installing all available updates. Also, I noticed a strange "jumping" between segments in editor once I go into concordance search field.
I feel like a test rabbit - after pament no real suport (unless expensive support contract).
"Support" says, error not reproducible - they suggest it's my fault. Have uninstalled 2021- What a waste.
