Does anybody have experience how to translate MailChimp campaigns?
Daniel
Daniel Hug
I have no experience of this, but it seems to be possible:
https://mailchimp.com/help/translate-content-in-a-campaign/
Conditional merge tags seems to be the key here if you are not using the Google Translate option. Do you have the content and what format is it in?
Paul
We looked at this a bit more, and although there are connectors (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7me2T-DlVw), which we don't want because it's only a once in a while type of project, there is no proper way of doing this. One option might be to translate the send source languge email and "beam in" the translation thereof. (There is a fuction called email beamer.) You can't import code, ever, so it seems.I wonder whether there is a way to do this more elegantly. Maybe you have to work through their API? Hard to believe there is no established route except Google Translate!
Well, our graphics guys sent a plain text file and are happy to re-format the email, so this is how we are going to do it for now.
Thanks for your help!
