I am using Trados Studio 2019. I need to merge two segments of the source text. I have selected the relevant settings appropriately.
I can split a segment in the source text by clicking ALT+MAIUSC+T, but if I try merging two segments of the source text, the CONTROL+ALT+S key does not work. Not even the icon un top of the windows works.
What can I do?
Hi Gabriella Bossi,
Please make sure of the following:
1. You have the options "Allow source editing" and "Enable merge segments across paragraph" checked in Project Settings.
2. You select the segment's IDs in a sequential way, so as not to leave unselected segments in between. Try also with the right-click of the mouse.
Does it work like that?
thanks for your kind answer.

How can I select the segment's IDs?
I select the segments, I thought this was enough. In your videos and guides you have forgotten to mention how we can select the IDs.
Would you be so kind as to explain that t me?
You select the first segments ID on the left side, then the next one you hold the SHIFT key while you select the others.
Maybe this short video explain better:
Hope it helps!
