I need help with opening a stl file in Trados, I have just installed the subtitling plug-in and the stl-plug in, yet Trados (2019) says the file format is not supported. I have unticked the native srt under file types as well.Any ideas.
Thank you Steven,
Hello Peggy Strachan ,
Once you have downloaded the app - this needs to be enabled.
Go to FILE.>OPTIONS> File Types as follows
Then close and reopen Studio.
Now you should be able to create a new project using the STL file type.
I did not get the message 'Additional installed file types exist'. Rather the file types seemed to have been added automatically.
But they don't work. I already ask the client to send a srt file instead, but it also does not work.
Many thanks and best wishes,
Would you be able to share the file, so we can take a look?
If so please email me firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you, but no. But I do not think it might be the file rather than SDL Trados.
I have just sent you a couple of test files as requested.
You mention "once you have downloaded the app..." What app are you talking about? I am not able to open the STF file and do not see the enabling option.
