Since upgrading Studio 2017 to version SR1, I get an error when trying to analyze Groupshare projects:
Unexpected exception when completing task 'Analyze Files': User 'mest' does not have permission 'edit' for resource 'project_name'.
As a result, no analysis report is created. I have tried the same thing on a second computer which I haven't upgraded to SR1 yet and it works fine. Anyone else have any issues with generating Groupshare analysis reports? Thanks in advance!
Hi Menelaos Stamatelos - what is the situation now for you? I am asking because I had this reported by a customer also and I can reproduce the error with a user that is External Translator, so it does not have the Edit Project permission. That user can not run the batch task Analyze Files just like you are reporting. I am curious if for you this worked with GroupShare 2017 pre SR1 and are you sure it worked with the same GS user (that does not have the Edit Project permission). I am trying to determine if this is a defect or a desired behavior. Thank you.

I have since moved to Studio 2019 and the problem has gone away for me. I never figured out why I was having the problem in the first place but you may be right about the role permissions. Currently I still have the External Translator role in Studio 2019 but I can run batch analysis on Groupshare projects without problems. Cheers.
Hi Menelaos Stamatelos - so now you work on projects that are published to GroupShare and you can run Batch Task - Analyze Files on those projects? What version is that GroupShare server?

I can run "Batch Task - Analyze Files" on Groupshare projects but unfortunately I don't know what the GroupShare server version is...
