I am testing if GroupShare 2017 supports SQL Server 2017 (Express).
Installation finished successfully and I am able to add Container from WEB Console of GroupShare.
There is no problem on my side so far.
Did anyone tried this? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

SQL Server 2017 Express edition is fine as long as Advanced Services are installed. For more information regarding supported SQL Server versions, please see page 18 (PDF page 23) of the SDL GroupShare 2017 SR1 Release Notes.

One more thing... how about MS SQL Server for Linux? Does GS 2017 SR1 support this?

Whilst Microsoft SQL Server for Linux appears to have the correct functionality for GroupShare, it has not been tested.
Therefore we will be unable to offer support if anything goes wrong from an SQL point-of-view.
So the answer is that it should work, but use it at your own risk.
