Since the upgrade from GS 2017 to GS2020 CU03, we can no longer add files to projects created by a user that no longer exists.

When we try and check in an added file, we first get the message “User ABC does not exist” and subsequently, that “Cannot add the specified project files. At least 1 file already exists.”

For technical reasons, nor can we simply recreate the user in question (old Windows authentication names, GS will not accept a slash in the username).

We would very strongly prefer not to have to create new projects (we do not create a project per file).

Is this a known issue? Have any others encountered this issue and found a way around it? Is there a way to edit in some way the username of the project creator?
