Detecting language please wait for.......
I have a Passolo project with one XML file with structure
<Translation UId="60a91683-ea32-4d5a-9abf-ccd52f40cae8" Id="ID_ABOUT_PROGRAMVERSION"> <target lng="en">Program version:</target> <target lng="de">Programmversion:</target> <target lng="it">Versione programma:</target> <target lng="es">Versión del programa:</target> <target lng="fr">Version du programme:</target> <target lng="zh">程序版本：</target> <target lng="ja">プログラムバージョン：</target> <target lng="ko">프로그램 버전:</target> </Translation>
Target rule: Source file
When generating the target language, some characters in Japanese and Chinese are converted to unicode(?) and the XML structure is broken:
This is new. I am using this project quite some time. I am using Passolo 18.104.22.168.
When generating the target files to the source file. Which codpage and/or encoding for target do I have so specify?
Any hints welcome. Thanks, Markus
You might try to use the codepage 65001 which stands for UTF-8.
Hopefully this helps.
Thanks for your reply, Adrian.
I added codepage 65001 to the source file and also to the target files:
I also used the target file option:
Reminder: My target rule is the source file. So I am writing the translations back to the source file.
All languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian and also Korean) work fine. Chinese and Japanese do not work.
Adrian Maniu I also executed the check "Character ... not in codepage" and I get no error.
When generating the target file, beside the destroyed structure, not valid UTF byte characters are added.
Hi Markus Kaußen
I'm not able to reproduce your issue. Maybe try to recreate the project / the parser rules/ target path rules and check again.
Thanks, will try. Are there any requirements to the Windows systems?
Installed or not installed Asian fonts e.g. should not be an issue for XML, right?
