Detecting language please wait for.......
I've created a new PASSOLO project (using PASSOLO 2018 Team Edition 188.8.131.52) from existing source and tranlations based on JSON files. I used the English language as source language and build up 11 target languages with the existing target files (Scan Target File (Alignment)) to set the languages all to translated. This works fine except a view details:
Another question: How could I add "\n" at the end of a string in PASSOLO project? I tried this in the grid and in the property page, but this was removed.
I compared the given target file with the new generated target file using Beyond Compare 4 (x64), and verified the differences in MS Visual Studio 2015
Hi, Try to use notepad not notpad ++. When notepad ++ save in Acsii if it don't have special characters when you ask for unicode.
Hope this helps to find the option.
Too many questions and no real sample file for testing. Root causes may vary from case to case. But there is one assumption that possibly can cause all the problems:
Passolo has an option that allows to exactly take over white spaces from the original string to the translated file. Please deactivate this option and retry.
Hello Mr. Herrmann,
unfortunately I'm not able to find this option. May I should not use "Scan Target File (Alignment)"?
Also I got the message the file to read from is ASCII though it seems to be not in Notepad++ and in VisualStudio Code
Could I send you the project for investigation and if yes tell me please how (format, ftp, community)?
At least it was the combination of both:
- 1st safe the files to read from as UTF8 files
- 2nd "Scan Target File (Alignment)" without "Transfer white spaces...."
THX for help 2 you both.
