Just wanted to ask if SDL is looking at what Nuance is doing with Dragon Anywhere:
Are you looking into dictation via iPhone to a linked computer, as briefly described here? http://www.translationtribulations.com/2015/08/enter-dragon-anywhere.html
We do keep an eye on these things, but as Kevin noted too this one isn't ready for direct dictation into a CAT tool yet. More importantly there isn't any information on the APIs available with this to make it possible to integrate with Studio more closely.
I had a play with MyEcho after Kevin showed this to me in Zagreb earlier in the year and this is probably a similar thing, although without better language support, and that tool worked quite nicely in English with Studio. It is only IOS though and Dragon will be offering Android too.
Interesting stuff though.
Incidentally, I can achieve sth very similar to Kevin with his iPhone in my own office here at home. I recently bought an electrically adjustable standing desk, and can now actually stand, or even walk around (!!!), in front of my desk, dictating into Studio/memoQ. Amazing stuff and a real game changer if you ask me re ergonomics/wellbeing.
I can highly recommend this one:
