I'd like to add FISHFOLDERPATH to the met file. I've tried different variations in the Publish plug-in XML settings
<parameter name="DocumentObjRequestedMetadata">...
<ishfield level="logical" name="FISHFOLDERPATH" />
I've changed the value of @level to no avail.
Any one know what I'm doing wrong? Can FISHFOLDERPATH be added to the met file?

FISHFOLDERPATH is only a property of the folder object ( CTDOCMAP ), You can only request Document or Publication fields in the MET files.
There isn't any exposed field that I am aware of that can give you any reference to an object's folder.
Depending on what you need to do, you could write a publish plugin that uses the SDK to inject the folder information into all the MET files.
You just need to put the plugin in pipeline before any processing the needs it
