Update: Though this is a great idea, this specific request is currently not planned based on our program planning and prioritization of all Tridion Sites ideas at this moment. We may revisit this later for any UI improvements we plan for the future.

Bring back ability to create new components in left pane

In previous versions of Tridion, users had the ability to create new components by right-clicking on folders in the left Publications pane. In Tridion 8.5, that functionality has been removed. This feels like a downgrade in functionality to us, particularly for folders that contain many components and lack white space where a user can right-click in the right pane. We request that this functionality be brought back in 8.5.
